Awesome news, now I can actually recommend a place to my friends in Fred-burg/Stafford when they say they want to put their kids in TKD.

I have some happy news that I would like to share with my Judo friends. Today was the first class in what is officially now MY dojo. For the past three years or so I have shared my club with my Aikido friends. They were gracious and opened their doors to me, they helped me grow and grow we did. Last month they moved out into their own custom build dojo and I was able to take over the lease. As soon as they moved out we were back in there cleaning and painting. After a few days we were ready to start building our mat floor. With the assistance of John Cramer we followed the directions and build our own Denver Mat system. But I have to thank a lot more people that were involved, I have a wonderful group of members, they are extremely talented and dedicated to our dojo and our success. I also want to thank Jimmy Pedro and Zebra mats for their patience and working with me. I hope that whenever any of you are in the Washington DC, Northern Virginia or Richmond area that you will stop by for a workout.

I need to find a club in or near Norfolk for one of my previous members who is stationed there with the Navy.

I'm part of a USJF club about 15-20 minutes away from Norfolk. We could always use more people.

Please tell your friends to stop in and bring their kids, my rates are low, I charge month to month and give everyone a free month.

Wow, you trained with Sensei Ashida. Is this near the Sonic Drive In?

Sorry for the delayed response but yes I trained with Ashida Sensei in college for several years. However growing up in Judo in Western New York area he was always part of the local instruction. He was wonderful instructor, very hard at times and will be very missed.

The second part of your question is also yes, there is a sonic nearby. Feel free to visit!
