Soko Joshi Judo Club of San Francisco (our sensei is Ms. Keiko Fukuda, 9th Dan, highest ranked woman in judo in the world) is delighted to announce the 17th Annual Fukuda Invitational Kata Championships, to be held this October 22nd in San Jose, CA. You can compete in 7 Kodokan katas, with female, male, or coed teams. We also provide competitors with a buffet lunch after the tournament. I agree that this is class event. I have competed in this event and even have come home with the grand champion trophy
The level of judging has been very competent and I have always received helpful technical advice after the competition. I even been scolded by Fukuda Sensei herself as she gently slapped my hand for making a mistake. What a great life lesson and memory.
