the seniors were a little light on numbers and clearly most of the top players stayed away, but still an interesting day.
have to admit I missed 90 minutes in the middle watch England putting France to the sword at Parc de France!!!!!!! (a very good bar with large screen telly is included in the Sheffield ice deal)
The junior event was worth the entry fee alone.

Yes it was a great weekend good judo decent reffing, some top juniors missing,a few are away with senior squad, one strangeled out and had to be brought around by medics, will be interesting to see if any are unselected and replaced or if it is just a case of same old s**t different day.

Lots of seniors missing as mentioned by others but there are senior squad events taking place, there were some unexpected results but happy to say that the reffing had nothing to do with that, there was one controversial decision in the final of the senior -73kg the winner did a direct drop kata guruma, there was no cross grip or an attack from the uke but it was so quick you could not blame anyone for missing it.

all in all it was well worth the time and cost, a big well done to all those who contributed and thank you.
