What about her? http://JudoForum.com...post__p__633578

Or do women not count?
If I am doing "win," sloppy and sissy is fine; if I am doing Judo, beautiful is my rule and goal. Judo is far more important and rewarding than "win."

I'd definitely consider Aoki judo (not exclusively judo, but still a decent example of a judoka I think; well, aside from his attitude). If you can find a highlight of someone in a judo competition then that's good enough for me.

Sokoudjou, while a judoka, is probably the worst example of one in MMA that I can think of.

Always a fun topic.

I've been wondering about Okami lately, and have not been able to find anything definitive -- can anyone source his judo background?

There's also Drew Fickett, who got his black belt from Steve Owen and is 41-13.

Apparently how attractive a female in MMA is is VERY important.

How attractive a female is usually is important. I'm not making any judgement call, I'm just explaining what is. Especially in an entertainment driven industry like MMA, it is definitely important.

For sure she counts, just that I only included pro fights that are accounted for on sherdog fightfinder and she isnt listed up yet. There are a few girls in the list.

Nothing definitive right now. Not with 50% of these judoka.lol While it it called out by interviewers that Vitor Belfort has a bb in judo I wouldnt include that but for Okami it claims it on wiki and then he is also very commonly regarded as a judoka, even by the fellas he fights(as well as a wrestler) like this Marquardt interview...

"Okami is a very strong opponent. He’s physically strong, he's tall, he's long, and he has a good judo base. He's well rounded in every area.

http://www.mmasharef...itl-t31081.html

Just added Hironaka too who in an interview said that he did 15 years judo and 5 bjj.

"Bevois: You are a black belt in both Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Who are your instructors and how long have you trained?

Hironaka: I am 30 years old and have trained in Judo for 15 years and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for 5 years."
