Backgrounder: I bought this judogi from Vin at Kodokangear a few weeks ago. Last few gi I got ended up a bit too small for my liking, thus I sold them recently here on this forum. This time I thought I was being smart by going up half a size and despite Vin telling me I should stick with my usual sz 3.5 as the Shiai was a different animal from my old Ichiban, I ordered a sz. 4, and wouldn’t ya know it, it ended up being just a wee bit looser than I like!!! This judogi, being pre-shrunk, of course, refused to shrink more than a few cms on the sleeves and pant legs despite several super-hot wash & dry sessions, which was OK, but still left a bit too much room for me in the body. Thus, instead of holding on to a gi I'm not gonna be too happy with, I would like to sell it while it is still practically brand-new except for a few washes. So here ya go ...

Details: I would like to offer for sale, one latest model Mizuno SHIAI Judogi in Blue color, size 4. Bought 2-3 weeks ago, only worn for trying on, washed and dried several times in super-hot. It’s a great Judogi, softer than my old stiff scratchy Ichiban or Toraki Gold! Nice thick lapels, wider sleeves (then again that’s as per current IJF regs so we all just have to get used to that!), solid pants that cinch up really well (unlike my Ichiban pants!!!) Overall very well-constructed. I am 5’9” or so in height, weigh around 175lbs, suit size 40R, pants 33Wx30L. However, please note I had bought this same judogi in White sz. 4 from Hatashita, which I sold to a dojo-mate last week, and he is same height as me if not an inch shorter, weighs less too, but due to longer arms & different body (wider shoulders than me I think), the Judogi fits him well. So anyways, to make things less confusing ... if you wear a sz. 4 in other Mizuno, this one should fit you well.

I would like to sell this for US$ 140.00, (EDIT: NOW price dropped to US$125) which will include shipping cost to Continental US (lower 48 states). Anyplace else shipping may be a bit more, let’s discuss. Paypal preferred but I may consider personal checks or postal money orders as well, except of course, this will delay shipping. Please contact me at topjor AT hotmail dot com.

Thank you very much!

Mods, like last time, I will inform as soon as this is sold.

p.s. I'm in NYC, so if anybody from the area is interested to check out/buy this gi, perhaps we could meet up in the city itself. Thanks!!!

Mitesco, thanks! :hap:

One more thing guys, I've already done the soaking-in-white-vinegar-and-water process prior to first washing the gi to set the blue color. So that's one headache out of the way for you!!! :big grin:

Don't have a camera at the moment, gave my old one away, but I should be picking a new one up in the next few days (hopefully!) In the meantime I will try and snap some pics with my dinky lil' cell-phone and post them later today or tomorrow.

Do rest assured that this is a brand-new Mizuno Shiai in pristine condition that has only been washed several times! :hap:
