Do you have results from previous years available to have an idea of how many contestants you had in Masters divisions?

This is a revived New England championship tournament in a new location. There is no data from previous years.

Here is the flyer:

Thanks! Based on the flyer it looks like only those who are with US Judo federations are allowed - that is too bad. Would be a good chance to see Boston and do some Judo on the same weekend .

No, that's not true. There are check boxes for the three different NGBs.

I'm bringing a group and we're with JA.

I think he meant just US federations, not the USJF specifically.

By all means join us--see Boston and of course play Judo. As long as you have your NGB up to date you will be more than welcome to participate. I'm sure the local Masters Division will as usual be active--what weight are you and I can update you on how many I anticipate.

Day before weigh-ins. Check.
Low registration fee. Check.
Competition schedule. Check.

Mass Judo has the recipe down for running great tournaments.

Thanks for the comments.

Day before weigh-ins: You should note that there is a day before AND day of weigh-in, so it should work for everyone.

Low Registration Fee: Goal here is to get as many people as possible to compete, quantity can improve quality. You can only dig into the same pocket so often before competitors realize that channel surfing is cheaper than Judo.

Competition schedule: We're hoping to get those little ones in and out before their nap time :big grin: Hopefully this attempt at a "rolling weigh-in" will be a step in the right direction.

More good stuff:

Tournament T-shirts will NOT cost as much as a registration fee!
Medals for 1st, 2nd & 3rd look VERY nice.
Certificates for all participants.

MASS JUDO -- we don't care where you play Judo---JUST PLAY JUDO.

I might go. It's either this or the Summer Slam at Camal judo.

Just an UPDATE...pre-registration has been very strong so if that's any indication, Sunday June 8th will be a great day of competition.

Hope many of you will be there to compete, help out or just come to watch the tournament.
